Despite his extensive work on literary fields like historical or urban fiction, worldwide recognition comes from the themes of Fantasy, Horror and Science Fiction. The list of authors displaying Alejandro's work is notable and vast: Anne Rice, Robin Hobb, Mario Puzo, H.G. Wells, Ursula K. Le Guin, Andrzej Sapkowski, William Gibson, Clive Barker, J.G. Ballard, Edgar Allan Poe, Robert Louis Stevenson, Steven Erikson, etc.
His creative ability has also reached the world of music, film and theatre.
In 2014, Polka Theatre commissioned him the creation of the poster for the play Peter Pan.
In 2016, he created the artwork of the album Déjà Vu by prog-rock band Bad Dreams.
In 2017, he was invited by Printed in Blood Publishers to take part in The Thing: artbook, an illustrated tribute to the legendary 1982 film, with an introduction by horror filmmaker Eli Roth, and an afterword by the original director and master of horror John Carpenter. Also in 2017, Alejandro worked on the conceptual art for the upcoming US movie Extreme.
In 2018, he started to work in the beautiful project Geralt de Rivia / The Witcher: The Illustrated Edition. The complete 9 Books in a new edition including around 60 new illustrations and new book covers.
In 2019, he created the Tarot Z , a zombie / apocalyptic genre Deck, for the prestigious publisher Lo Scarabeo (Italy).
In 2020, he created a new deck: The Tarot V , this time about vampires, also for Lo Scarabeo.
He also returned to traditional painting to create some new stuff including an illustration for the Aliens Artbook by Titan Books / Printed in Blood.
In 2021, he has worked on the new illustrated edition of the classic The Worm Ouroboros, by E. R. Eddison to be published in 2023.
2022 was another busy one for Alejandro, he worked on several projects, as well as the creation of two book covers for the renowned Assassin's Creed series.
